Perth Radio Electric Car Club (Inc), or PRECC in short, is a radio controlled electric car club who race onroad electric touring cars indoors on carpet.
Founded in 1983, attendance averaged 12 drivers per week and now 25 years later the club has grown substantially, with attendance peaking in 2009 where we averaged around 40 drivers of all ages every week. On an average night we now have between 4 and 6 classes of racing so there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Enjoying a long history of racing, PRECC celebrated 25 years of operation in 2008 and is confident we’ll be around for another 25 years more.

We race every week on Tuesday nights from 530pm to 1030pm at the Les Hansman Community Centre in Morley. As we do not have a permanent venue we must setup our track at the start of each night. All drivers are asked to help out with this task so that we can have some open practice time before racing commences. After our drivers meeting at 7pm, racing commences where we hold 2 rounds of qualifying and 2 rounds of finals. Our races are fully computer controlled using the “Alycat” rc timing software and AMB timing equipment and personal transponders.
Our club motto “In The Spirit Of Fairness” governs us in the way that our club is run. Every decision that is made relates to these words of wisdom to ensure that the best is achieved from our club and its members. We have many plans for the future, but none more important than our plans for a permanent venue where we can grow our club in both numbers and strength with the eventual desire to host a Worlds class event.
